Yulia Nagaeva crowned Miss Atom 2008

The most beautiful woman in the nuclear industry of the former Soviet Union is Yulia Nagaeva, according internet voters in the annual Miss Atom competition. The contest, organised by Nuclear.Ru, attracted entries from 344 females from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. The winning 26-year-old Muscovite, who works for nuclear fuel company TVEL, said her hobbies were photography, travel and foreign languages. Nagaeva described her commitment to excellence in nuclear work: "Every day carries something new if you see beauty in simple things and strive for more." As a prize, Nagaeva and a friend will enjoy a luxury tour of Italy, while in second and third places Asel Uyibaeva of KazAtomProm and Tatiana Vdovina of NIKIRET will receive a privilege debit card and a three-year certificate for perfumes and cosmetics respectively. Various beauty-related awards were made to 32 other attractive nuclear professionals.
