India's Larsen & Toubro has won a repeat order to design, manufacture and supply four steam generators for Rajasthan Atomic Power Plant (RAPP) units 7 and 8 from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL). The steam generators for the two planned 700 MWe pressurised heavy water reactors (PHWRs) will be the largest yet to be built in India. The Mumbai-based company has also announced it has won a so-called Technology Development order from the country's Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) for a major fast breeder reactor component, a welded grid plate, to a new design by the DAE's Indira Ghandi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR).
