STP selects Sargent & Lundy

[STP, 14 May] Sargent & Lundy have been chosen to act as Owner's Engineer to South Texas Project (STP) on its forthcoming project to build two new reactors. The new units are to be General Electric's Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR) design and will go alongside two existing pressurized water reactors at the STP site. Sargent & Lundy will be managed directly by STP's engineering staff and will begin work to assist the expansion project immediately.
