First Japanese reactors prepare for restart
Japan's nuclear regulator has approved Kyushu Electric Power Company's 'construction plan' for unit 2 of its Sendai nuclear power plant. The company hopes to restart unit 1 of the plant in July, with unit 2 following within months.

Energoatom rejects media reports about South Ukraine 2 licence

Westinghouse to continue nozzle inspections at Swiss plant
Westinghouse has been awarded a long-term contract for reactor pressure vessel nozzle inspections at the Leibstadt nuclear power plant in Switzerland. The company has already been performing such inspections at Leibstadt over the past ten years.

Belgian units to remain offline until November
Electrabel announced today that it now expects its Doel 3 and Tihange 2 nuclear reactors to remain offline until 1 November as the process to potentially restart the units continues. The utility had previously expected the units to restart on 1 July.
