World Nuclear Association urges industry growth to 25%
The global nuclear industry should aim to achieve a 25% share of world electricity production by 2050, Agneta Rising, director general of the World Nuclear Association said today. To do that it will need to add 1000 gigawatts of new generation capacity.

Mixed messages hinder growth in nuclear energy
Future electricity systems cannot be based entirely on renewable energy sources, delegates at the World Nuclear Association's annual Symposium in London heard today. However, they were told a new energy narrative is needed to overcome the mixed messages from the nuclear industry that has stymied public support.

China's CGN to cooperate with Kenya on nuclear energy

Nuclear costs remain competitive, says IEA/NEA report
The cost of nuclear power is in line with other baseload energy technologies, but new nuclear power plants can generate more electricity and more cheaply over their full lifetime if financing costs are low. This is the conclusion of a recent joint study by the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) and the International Energy Agency (IEA).

IAEA and Kazakhstan agree to create nuclear fuel bank

Amano seeks extra funding to manage Iran agreement
