Ukraine further diversifies fuel supply with Canadian agreement
Energoatom and Cameco have signed a memorandum of cooperation and understanding as part of the Ukrainian nuclear power plant operator's strategy to diversify its nuclear fuel supply. The document was signed yesterday at the uranium producer's headquarters in Saskatoon, Canada.

Canadian, Korean waste organisations agree cooperation
The Korea Radioactive Waste Agency has signed agreements with Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and Canada's Nuclear Waste Management Organisation to cooperate on decommissioning nuclear facilities and radioactive waste management.

Batan to cooperate with Indonesian power company
Indonesia's National Atomic Energy Agency (Batan) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with utility PT Indonesia Power to cooperate in the use of nuclear technology in the energy sector. One area of cooperation will be a feasibility study on the use of nuclear power plants.

Doosan, NuScale sign agreements for SMR cooperation
South Korea's Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction yesterday signed the 'business collaboration agreement' with US small modular reactor developer NuScale Power for supply of NuScale Power Modules and other equipment. Doosan also signed the 'unit purchase agreement' through which it will make a cash equity investment in NuScale with Korean financial investors.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the ITER International Fusion Energy Organisation are to enhance their cooperation in nuclear fusion research and related activities following the signing of an agreement that expands one signed in 2008.

US small modular reactor developer NuScale Power has signed a memorandum of understanding with Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction - part of South Korea's Doosan Group - for strategic cooperation to support deployment of the NuScale Power Module worldwide.
