The Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant lost off-site power for the first time since May, and had to rely on emergency diesel generators for nearly five hours at the weekend, prompting renewed safety concerns amid the on-going war.

The contract will see Urenco continuing to supply Ukraine's Energoatom with enriched uranium until 2035, with an option to extend the contract to 2043. 

International Atomic Energy Agency staff at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant say they heard what sounded like rockets "fired from a Multiple Launch Rocket System nearby" - it came on the same day the site lost connection to its main off-site power line.
