Namibian state mining company Epangelo is set to take an active role in the development of the Etango uranium project after Bannerman Resources agreed to sell it a 5% stake in the project for which a definitive feasibility study has just been completed.

The directors of Extract Resources, would-be developer of the Husab uranium deposit in Namibia, have urged shareholders to accept a buyout offer from China Guangdong Nuclear Power Company subsidiary Taurus Mineral.

A China Guangdong Nuclear Power Company (CGNPC) subsidiary has taken a further step towards purchasing the Husab uranium project in Namibia.

A major stake in one of the world's largest uranium projects has been secured by China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNPC) after an agreement on a cash buyout of Kalahari Minerals.

Namibia's Ministry of Mines and Energy has informed Extract Resources that it is prepared to grant the company's Swakop Uranium subsidiary a mining licence for the Husab uranium project. All necessary permits have now been received for development of the project to begin.
