First selection of Atmea1 nuclear reactor
Turkey stands to be the first country to use the Atmea1 reactor design by Areva and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. An accord signed today could see four of the units deployed at Sinop in the early 2020s.

China approaches reprocessing commitment
China is to reprocess used reactor fuel at a plant supplied by Areva, according to a letter of intent signed in Beijing yesterday. Areva said it was a milestone that represented a signature on part of a contract for sale.

French fuel for Korean reactor in Jordan

Darlington turbine refurb contract
Alstom is to refurbish the turbines and generators of all four Candu reactors at the Darlington nuclear power plant under a contract signed with Ontario Power Generation. The work is part of a project to extend the plant's life by up to 30 years.
