UK's new nuclear ambitions 'have only just begun'
The government has "only just begun when it comes to our ambitions for new nuclear in the UK", Energy Secretary Ed Miliband told the Nuclear Industry Association's Nuclear 2025 conference in London. He said the government has plans for further reactors - both large and small - and has initiated a search for suitable sites.

Framatome has completed the manufacture of the reactor pressure vessel for the second of two EPR units being built at the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant in Somerset, UK. The first two of four steam generators for the unit have also been completed.
