Half year Canadian uranium results

Canadian uranium miners have released details of their production levels in the first six months of 2007. The figures show that output was a little lower than in 2006. Cameco's McArthur River, the world's largest uranium mine, maintained full production of 4284 tonnes U3O8; while its Rabbit Lake concern was down slightly to 961 tonnes U3O8. Areva's McClean Lake was also slightly down at 355 tonnes U3O8, but this figure is expected to almost double in 2008 relative to 2007.
