Canada-based Macusani Yellowcake has announced updated uranium resource estimates for the Colibri 2 and 3 properties on the Macusani Plateau in southern Peru. At a cut-off grade of 75 ppm of uranium, the indicated resource of the properties now stands at some 2.1 million lb U3O8 (808 tU) at an average ore grade of 0.44%, with inferred resources of 14.5 million lb U3O8 (5577 tU) at an average ore grade of 0.34%. The new resource estimates are based on 123 drill holes and are reported in accordance with Canadian National Instrument 43-101. A complete NI 43-101 technical report containing the updated resource estimate has been filed with the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA). Peter Hooper, CEO of Macusani, commented: "We are encouraged by the improved resource estimate, which shows increased grades of the indicated and inferred resources at the 75 ppm cut-off grade by approximately 36% and 6% respectively."
