Shaw draws its ties tighter

The Shaw Group has announced the signing this week of a 'task based' strategic cooperation agreement with China's State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC), the company charged with assimilating specialist knowledge relating to Westinghouse's AP1000 pressurized water reactor design. Westinghouse and Shaw are partners for the construction of AP1000 units currently planned for China and the USA. At the same time, the relationship between the two US-based firms has grown deeper with the appointment of former Westinghouse CEO Steve Tritch to Shaw's board of directors.
