Ukrainian MoU for CNNC
The presidents of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and Ukrainian nuclear company Energoatom have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) defining the scope of future nuclear energy cooperation between the two. The memorandum, signed on 30 May during a visit by CNNC officials to Ukraine, covers cooperation in plant design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance as well as scientific and technological cooperation. According to Energoatom, the companies have also agreed to continue cooperation in areas including reconstruction and modernisation, nuclear plant personnel training, and nuclear safety and radiation protection.
