Another Norwegian town looks to host nuclear plant
Norsk Kjernekraft has signed a cooperation agreement with the municipality of Lund on establishing a nuclear power plant in the town in the southern Norwegian county of Rogaland. The town is expecting a large increase in power demand due to industrialisation of the area.

Grossi praises Brazil's contributions to nuclear development
International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi has highlighted the importance of Brazil for the global nuclear sector. During a trip to the country last week, he signed an agreement formalising the designation of Brazil's Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research as an IAEA Collaborating Centre.

CNNC extends cooperation with ENEC, EDF
China National Nuclear Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation on strategic cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. CNNC has also signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with France's EDF on nuclear energy.

SMR developers enlist French nuclear expertise
Thorizon of the Netherlands has signed a cooperation agreement with France's EDF R&D to advance the Thorizon One molten salt reactor design. Meanwhile, Blue Capsule has signed a partnership agreement with the French Alternative Energies & Atomic Energy Commission, from which it was spun off, for the development of its small modular reactor.

Partnership for ARC-100 commercialisation
A trilateral collaboration agreement has been signed to further cooperation between Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, ARC Clean Technology and New Brunswick Power with the goal of establishing teaming agreements for global small modular reactor fleet deployment. It follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding last November.

NNSA collaborates with Japan, Korea on research reactors
